Folktales are stories most often passed along orally and can refer to stories ranging from ancient legends to urban myths. In queer communities the word “Folks” is used often as a non-gendered way to refer to a group of people. By dividing the words into two we intended for the name to convey “the story of the people” referring to the stories shared naturally between people during hair appointments! Throughout our space you can find art, books, and decor referencing famous folklore – your stylist may even be able to recite one for you!
